Seller sent my package from VISALIA, CA 93277 since 19th May 2008 using First Class Mail.
Already waited for more than 2 weeks but still not yet receive the item. Will it get lost in somewhere else? Anyone know how to solve this case or can give me any suggestion for it? Really scare I'll lost my item. Any possibility that I could check with custom or Pos Malaysia? I don't have the tracking number, just the custom form # from USPS. Your help in this is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The USPS website doesn't state the period. You can check with customs, but I don't have their contact information. Sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe wait one or two more weeks?
hi, it really depends on your luck. i've had parcels from US and UK that arrives in 3days.. and some even took a month! or even longer! it does not really matter wether it is via 1st class or priority. naturally, priority & express will arrive faster but it really depends wether your item is being released by the custom authority or not. if it got stuck at the custom, then u hv to wait la. when u receive your parcel later, check the dates. there should be 3 chops - 1 from US- on the day it was posted. 2nd- by KLIA- on the day it arrives & 3rd by the custom , on the day it is being released.
To katharotes; can we really check the parcel with the Malaysia Custom without the tracking number, only the custom form number? I wish to get hold of the contact but I can't seem to get into the website.
To benkeebp; the parcel is using 1st class mail and is not insure that's why I scare it get lost.
To *omg.dess*; My item should hv no problem with Malaysia Custom as its just a Garfield plush toy but is rather huge :D cause its a 25 years limited edition. So far, I've had parcels fr US using Priority, 1st Class BUT none have waited for so long, the most I received around 10 days. That's why is really scare me...really hope no one steal it :p
Well, I do hope I'll get the item soon, even later than a month also no problem. My main concern is I'll get the item in 1 piece. :p

If an item is purchased internationally, it is possible it can get held up in Customs which is not in the seller's control.
If you need to file an item not received dispute on an international purchase, wait at least 40 but not more than 45 days from the day the auction ended.
I forgot to mention that it does sometimes take over 30 days for an international package to reach it's destination. That is why I suggested waiting 40 days before filing a report.
Hi choywl; Nope still not yet receive. :'( Other item that was shipped out from USA on the 1st July have already received this Thursday (10th July, 2008) using First Class postage too. I really have no idea how come this took so long. I have contacted KLIA Kastam few days ago, they told me they can't trace for me as the code is LC. I have file a dispute on non item receive case on the seller as it is going to be 60 days soon. The seller also couldn't help me much as he had provide all information that he could, and he had also checked with the USPS, reply also the same couldn't trace. Anyway, seller promised to refund if I still not receive the item by next week. I hope he will :p Btw, what item are you accepted? Mine is a "Limited Edition 25th Anniversary Garfield plush toy" and it is rather huge about 20".
For what its worth, the longest I've had to wait for a parcel from US was about 12 weeks. Bought December 6, Release by KDRM mid-January, Delivered to house 22nd February!!! Your item may already be in Malaysia, but pos Malaysia jus hasn't gotten around to deliver it yet. There is another topic in the forum, "Parcels Lost ..." by chiunjeng, where a buyer finally found the item sitting in a room at the post office. So it might be well worth a trip to the post office.

Which is another thread of lost parcels by USPS. In particular check the reply posted 18-06-08 00:38, where the user successfully hounded the post office until he got his package (but I think pure luck only)
Sad but true, some USPS parcels or documents do come as early as 1 week and others are a torture just at the custom's office.
If your sellers sent your item via USPS, track it. If it has left USA, give it 3 - 4 days before it reaches your nearest airport (where it handles incoming post & parcels).
Contact them and see if they can find anything for u based on the Tracking Number.
I have the same case that item i bought from US still haven received.
when i ask the seller, seller said it's already at the custom, then i asked for the number/code that he/she use to track the item that stated the item is at the custom, the seller did not reply anymore...
what should i do ?

I think you can close or escalate your dispute to a PayPal claim within 20 days if the seller still dont escalate. After 20 days, your dispute will automatically close.
btw can some1 tell me more about the tracking and confirm tab under the USPS website ?

Hi barrio17, if you have the tracking number for USPS, yes you can check on their site for tracking, once it arrive at Malaysia, you have to switch to Pos Malaysia site for tracking, under the express mail, then from other country, key in your tracking number.
Hi everyone, normally item from US will reach us on the 10th or 14th day (without tracking no.), and will arrive on the 7th or 10th day (with tracking no.). So far, I received all my items from US or UK on time. If you don't receive after 2 or 3 weeks, the item might have lost or the seller NEVER SHIP the item.
I ever faced this,the seller didn't ship the item and I filed a dispute, but I couldn't get the money back coz the seller's account has no more balance to refund..so bad. I suggest once you don't receive your item after 3 weeks, file a dispute to get your money back. REMEMBER TO ACT FAST !!!!
As for my case: Paid on 29th Aug, after 3 wks, i found out seller no longer registered user.
Emailed to seller asking what happen to her account and ask for tracking no. Replied account been broke into and posted item on 3 Sep.
Nevertheless, i submitted dispute vide PAYPAL demanding full refund. Seller responded with tracking no. I've checked it ...USPS...stated that 26th Sept item still in USA..3 wks passed and it's still in USA...
THe clock is ticking...2 wks to 'Dispute Auto Closed'..
There is no tracking number for First Class International Mail. The custom form number only able to proof the acceptance of the parcel by post office if you search at www.usps.com tracking searching engine. After that, it's all on your own luck. Good luck!
hi,everybody pls listen to my case: i paid on 12/07/08, i get the label tracking number on 12/19/08 start by LC,and the status same as you all, just only shown: ACCEPTED. 12/25/08 i asked seller about this delay parcel,she checked and suprised by me that the parcel still was sitting in WASHINGTON, USA,ON 12/27/08 bcoz i didnt buy INSURANCE TOO. seller promised to RESEND ANOTHER on 12/30/08. I made a dispute until closed, i also didnt receive my parcel. i mail to seller and ask to provide a documents to proof, she get angry and stop reply my mail until 02/28/09. 3 mths. i cant believe in this kind of seller. i report to e-Bay customer centre, i report to USPS in USA. the loss of me is just only money, but what they lost are HONESt, but i think the seller dont have.i HOPE THAT ALL THE SELLER WOUNT BURIED AT THE END OF THEIRS CONSCIENCE
hi,yanheadyan, sure you dont know who'll steal your thing, both of them also suspected. i'm the unlucky person, maybe my parcel also arrived to custom already but they take away the thing and treat as lost, who know..or maybe seller didnt sent out the goods AT ALL..
hi, can some advise . we have sent items to malaysia via thaipost registered airmail/air which we think should not takes more than 2 wks to reached malaysia.. But it has been 4 wks plus still not reach yet.thaipost code given as RD322031285TH but untrackable in malaysia postal system. had email malaysia a few time then finally email was accepted by malaysia post.( our email was rejected by malasia post a fwe time )had reply with that they will check and let us know about 24 -48 hrs but it more than 2 days still no news.... Could someone advise ???????
Just read e few experience by the other user but last time when I bought something from US either trough e-bay or not, the item using USPS shall require around 7 days to arrived at Kuala Lumpur.
The item code starting with LJ can't be traced as the info not being updated except the date USPS accept the electronic shipping info. However, item with code CJ can be traced. For example:

You can try to use http://www.stamps.com/shipstatus/ to check the current status. Btw, sometimes our Customs making a late release, that is why the item taking longer time to reach us...

To joanne_6032: My case is the same as you; I ordered a DMC amulet using my friend's ebay and paypal. The girl says she sent the item around end of April until now there's still no news of it. Before that I mailed back to her around May stating that the amulet hasn't arrived, she replied back to me saying that she will resend another new one at the end of May and sadly both amulet never arrived at all!
I waited for the first amulet from April till July and the second one from May till July too!
No trackng number, no insurance, nothing! I even asked her when she sent it (for the first amulet). She says she can't remembered, she can't tracked it down and she doesn't even know if its by ship or air mail! Strange isn't it?
And I hated to say that she never even notified me about the status of both amulet and she never replied to my mails regarding about the second amulet till now. And its impossible for both item to be lost. My guess is she's avoiding my mails or never sent the item at all..
My sis mailed a package and I was only able to track the status via the USPS website until it arrived in Malaysia. After that, it's possible to call Pos Malaysia hotline at 1-300-300-300 and provide them with the information. They should be able to provide you with more information. Always always insure your packages....it's only a few $$ to insure and be worry free.

I called up Pos Malaysia this morning and they told me that it just arrived in MY and will need to go through customs. She said they can't tell how long customs will take but usually about 1 day. She also mentioned that the customs would call me if necessary. However, she did mention that it would take 2-3 days to deliver the package to the customer after it's come out of customs. Does anyone have the phone number of the customs?
